Parris earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Health Studies at UNC Asheville in 2009, and her Masters in Chinese Medicine at the Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in 2014. She is a Nationally and State Licensed Acupuncturist, and Chinese Medical Herbalist. Parris has been practicing Chinese Medicine for the past five years adding it to a thriving practice of tantric, yin and hatha yoga. She specializes in pain management, mental/emotional balance, trauma integration and spiritual exploration. Parris feels that health thrives when a person feels a strong sense of agency throughout her body. The paradigm and practice of Chinese Medicine allows the body an inherent wholeness; the psyche, the emotions, as well as the organs, blood, and bone live in constant engagement. She seeks patients who are interested in holistic healing as well as potential miracles. Parris lives in Asheville with her husband, mother and children.
