Sky Schulz is a certified Rolfer™ and licensed massage therapist (LMBT#17028) practicing in Asheville, NC. She received her training and certification from Dr. Ida Rolf's original school, the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration in Boulder, CO.
As an active outdoors-woman, Sky values health and well-being and enjoys helping her clients restore health and thrive in their own unique ways.
Sky came to Rolfing seeking alleviation from back pain due to scoliosis in her spine in 2012. By the end of the 10-Series, she was not only pain-free but also experiencing a myriad of benefits she previously assumed were unattainable to her such as the ability to run long distances without feeling short of breath or getting shin splints, symmetry and balance in her yoga practice, and the ability to participate in several 10-day meditation retreats with 100+ hours of sitting cross-legged feeling comfortable in her body. Her new-found body awareness and ability to push her physical edge, led her to pursue a long-distance hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2600 mile trek through the mountains from Mexico to Canada in 2014. This successful yet physically painful feat brought her back to Rolfing, this time with the intention of sharing this profound work with others seeking greater ease, grace, and well-being for their own lives. Sky's principle philosophy is that practicing good self-care means being of service to the world.
In her free time, Sky enjoys hiking with loved ones, bouldering, archery, gardening & herbalism, playing with her sweet dog, and painting.
